Installing an alarm need some help
This is for a 95 SC300
I am installing my Clifford Matrix 2 way alarm system and having to remove a cheap non working ebay pos alarm and am having some confusion with the wiring if anyone could help that would be great.
At this point I have all of the other sensors and connectors wired and ready to go including all of the optional shock, sunroof autoclose and tilt senors and just need to get these 2 wired ad we im all set.
Problem 1. Trunk Release Black (+) 2 Pin Black Conn. in Driver's Kick Panel
I don't see any 2 pin black connector in my 95 can anyone verify that this is the correct location.
Problem 2. Parking Lights Dark Green Driver's Kick Panel White Connector
I am not seeing this anywhere either.
If anyone can verify or tell me where these actually are I would appreciate it.
The location that I am getting my wiring info

i believe you get the trunk release at the switch itself, the one you pull under the dash, and if i remember correctly you need a relay, unless your alarm has one built in already, and for the parking lights, i think it might be white located at the steering column, but ill get back to you on that... ok it is green in the kick, but it has silver dots on it kinda, heres a pic
heres the parking lights at a couple different angles^^
and heres the trunk release, a little hard to see i know... hope this helps

Maybe you can trace the wire by following them from the trunk release and parking lights themselves. All the wires should collect by the driver's kick panel where the fuse are. They should be the same color from the trunk release and parking light side through the panel.

Your wiring diagram that your going off is good.
The trunk pop release is like what people are saying... where the switch is... one should meter 12 volt constant.. and the other one should meter nothing only when you pop the trunk with the switch it would read 12 volt..... you tie the wire from the Clifford to the the wire that meters nothing when you don't pull the switch.
The Parking lights are easier caught on the steering column.
When you take the shroud around the steering column follow the headlight switch stalk and you can trace the wire from there. It should be the same color that your 12volt.com diagram says...
The white plug be a bunch of different places, however the color wire your looking for in the driver's kick should travel along the harness that leads towards the back of the car.
But your best bet is to grab it at the steering column.
If you have any questions ask me... I've been a MECP Installer for 8 years now.

thanks for the help so far, I have 1 more issue.
At this point I can not get the doors to lock and unlock when I arm and disarm it. I am using the black and red wire (stripe) that is closest to the door and for unlock I am using the green wire that is near the relay on the top closest to the firewall.

You seem to got it right... Are they working to begin with when you manually press on the lock/unlock button?
Door Trigger Red/White (-) Below Fuse Panel White Connector
Door Lock Red/Black 20 Pin Blue Connector
Door Unlock Green In Driver's Kick

take off the thin plastic trim piece that runs along the door jam.
lift the carpet and you will see the wire harness. you can find your parking lights, lock, and unlock wires in there as well.
on the clifford you might have to switch the unlock more to do a double pulse. most toyotas need a double pulse unlock signal. this means that if you press the unlock button on the remote once it wont do anything but if you press unlock twice rapidly it will work.
toyota/lexus is the easiest cars to do remote start and security in. back in the day we use to make bets at the shop on how fast one can do a remstart on a camry. so far my buddy Pat holds the shop record of 42 mins from pulling the car in to full completion

Really stupid question that i'm pretty sure I know the answer to but...... can you use a remote start on a manual?

double pulse is programmed in the menu's of the brain.
not the double push of the button...
Since the door panel has a button for lock and unlock right? that means the wires are in the harness that lead into the door.. so trace the rubber boot that leads into the kick panel.. the two wires should be in that harness.
The mA of the Clifford might not be strong enough to push the door locks, they might need a higher mA the wire for the door locks, do they go into a relay before you tie them into the door locks? If not, you might need a relay for each lock and unlock. 521M is probably what you can use from DEI.
You can install onto a manual car...
DEI offers a module that allows them to be installed into a manual car.

Shops do not install remote starts into manual cars, due to the high insurance liability.
The easiest Remote start I ever done was an Avital 4200 into a 1996 Ford Escort. No chip in the key, power door locks, everything soldered and wires threaded through also completed a checkin and check out list. I set the record that day for 20 minutes from when I pulled it into the garage and back out again.!

he shouldnt need a 521m relays for the lexus. clifford is DEI and its the same hardware, or pretty damn close, to a viper or a python. it should just work.
i have not had a toyota/lexus that ever needed a relay for door locks.
some toyota sienna vans need to have the lock/unlock connected on the passanger side of the car with a diode but thats the only deviation from the norm. also the RX300 have multiplex door locks so you need to run the wires into the drivers door to the key cylinder itself.
as far as manual cars. just dont be stupid about it. i always wire the neutral safety switch to the handbrake. if the handbrake is not up the car wont even crank. i never leave my car in gear so using the ebrake for me is as natural as buckling up.
when i did my first remote start in a manual car, when i was 17, i put a sticker on the bottom of the gauge cluster saying "do not leave in gear!!!" lol. it was so my dad and i dont forget. after a short period of time it wasnt a big deal.
i have had remote starts on at least 3 manual cars personally and did countless one for friends.

I haven't put a keyless in a lexus yet.. so I don't know.. I have never needed a relay in a toyota either..
the manual remote start I had a bad experience in my own car before...
Hooking up the neutral safety switch to the ebrake doesn't always prevent it...
My 240sx I had it hooked up that way... parked out on a gravel driveway... my friend apparently was out in my car and shifted it into first...
I didn't know... started it.. it pushed the car all the way into a small tree and messed up my bumper... sigh..
what a disaster..

if the car is in gear and the ebrake is engaged it will still crank and will jerk the car.
it wont go fast or far but its a hell lot better then having the car take off with the ebrake down. that happened to me too....at work...in front of the store manager. he shook his head, laughed, and walked back in. my car hit a big metal parking pole. luckily this was my winter beater back in the day and it actually didnt do any damage. the bumper got pushed in all the way to the grille. i backed up and it popped back out. no signs of damage
