Default Following Bean's lead-delaying engine swap

I have decided to delay my Sc400 engine swap from OBDI 250hp 1uz-fe to the 300hp vvti 1uz-fe OBDII engine plus 5spd auto tranny.

I've been in constant contact w/the salvage guy who can get the engine/tranny...but I'm just not 100% that I want to do this right now. Plus, not to mention the funds issue.

After Bean's post about funds, I'm inspired to be frugal for awhile now. I've postponed the engine swap until the summertime.

I'll just enjoy my stock ride for awhile and admire to superfast SC's from afar. =)

why not just swap in a 2JZ-GTE. with some tuning you could probibly get close to 400hp for around the same price.

this debate has already been made Anthracite knows what he wants hehe

Yeah I found that I'm getting a raise in june... so money isn't so bad ATM. I still gotta sell the Z regardless; and I'm going to upgrade the suspension on the SC; if I like the way it handles; I'll keep it; if I don't I'll do something else like a SR20 swap in a 240sx or a 3rd gen RX-7

Default cuz the cost is not the same

My 1uz-fe swap costs 4K to do.

A 2jz-fe to 1uz-fe swap will cost 10K
so it's not the same price. This is the avg around everywhere

That's why
