my $1,200 5speed 1993 SC300
okay so I've had the car for a few months now but i'm just really getting done fixing it well enough to warrant talking about it. I got it off of a neighbor of mine that no longer used it due to the high cost of gas and her other car getting over 30mpg, I payed $1700 for it but she payed for the transfer and the back taxes on both cars which came to around $500. When got her she had been sitting for close to 2 years and was no longer running as a result. I got her home, replaced the battery, the alternator and the radiator and got her moving again. Since then I've been replacing minor things like door handles(FRAGILE) and a busted window regulator as well as the AC Condenser. All and all for 1200 I'm pleased. Let me know what you think. Also I'm only the second owner and have all of the factory books and repair paper work all the way back to the day she left the dealer

yeah brother the interior is great. 1 minor tear on the back seat and some slight wear on drivers seat but that's about it. The carpet is dirty as hell too but that's mostly because I've been too lazy to shampoo it. I have the carpet shampooer...I'm just lazy lol. I'll try to get some more pics of the interior tomorrow

well pretty much right now I'm just trying to get everything fixed. It's been pretty expensive but I'm on the last leg of it all right now. I'm having my door handles and window regulator installed tuesday and then I'll start seeing about upgrades. I'm mostly worried about suspension and brakes for now, I'd love to get into auto-x so that's more important than power from what I understand. I'm thinking

those wheels, Carbon fiber hood, trunk, and carbon fiber OEM wing
and lastly the 1JZ swap. I'm not looking to get too crazy with it. just something to have fun with. anything you guys would discourage from my list? I'm VERY new to all of this and know absolutely NOTHING so please correct me when I'm wrong

DONT GET THOSE WHEELS!!!
you dont need big brakes. start off getting acclimated to the car. replace brake pads and later possibly tires for better traction and handling. btw a good alignment can go a long way. go to local NTB or TireKingdom and ask for a 5 year alignment plan. cost is about 160 dollars. its unlimited. if you are going to replace parts this is well worth it.
i generally get an alignment done on the SC about 3-5 times a year. not broken parts but rather trying different setups.
im sure a lot of the bushing in the car are close to being bad therefore i would do that.
lastly do wheels and tires.
