John, call Steve Ganz at 800-90-TOYOTA. Tell him you saw the price for the tail lights on my Group Buy...

$298 a pair is a sweet deal. They are like $400 on some websites and my dealership quoted me $600!?! When you call Steve Ganz and say so-and-so referred me, do you guys actually say people's screen names? I think it'd sound kinda funny to say, "Yeah, Static 911 from Club Lexus told me...."

Silverbolt, Welcome to the forums! If you call Steve, let me know if he gives you the $298/pair. I may have to pick up a set myself.

Can anyone that has done it confirm that the 97+ tail lights fit perfectly into a pre-97? I just want to make sure.

Actually, sometimes it's better to refer to people by their handles...when Steve and Ethan talk about me, they refer to me as Manaray even in normal conversation...you get used to it...

Lex, regarding the '97 tailights, I am doing a set myself so I can give you a definite answer next week...opps...

Interesting, is that the way you guys talk at meets too? I've never been to a CL meet.

i'm in if they'r that cheap! but is it true that if you swap out tail lights that you get a bulb lighting up in your dash as if one of your tail lights are out?

what's this "plug" thing that lexussc400.com sells??? i would hate to have that light stay on.....

I believe you only need that flasher module if you have a pre-'95 SC. '95 to '00 use the same number of bulbs, so you would not get a rear light indicator.

All I know is that there is going to be some cool stuff coming out for the SC.
I am looking forward to the CF Hood & Trunk.

And yes, your lights in the dash will be on if you convert to any newer style tail light. That's from what I've read. 95% sure.

SO basically the plugs that you sell on lexussc400.com are pointless? so we shouldn't have to buy the plugs because either way, we'll get a light on the dash?

All you need to do is swap a resistor and the problem is solved. The light sensors operate of resistance. My guess is that plug is merely an inline resistor.
