I might have to check into doing that in the future. 16mpg isn't cool. Hell I was getting 22mpg on the 1jz, I don't know what happened to the mpg's. also what was your finaly HP on the Dyno Matt?

For me:

Needles show:
2k at 50mph
3k at 75mph
4k at 100mph in 5th.
95 SC300 5-speed.

Do you all have non-stock tire/wheel sizes? Also, how hard is it to get the speedo recalibrated?

An Australian company makes the 'yellowbox' which can fix the speedo.

I haven't heard anyone mention why the inline 6 cars have the gearing they come with stock, but for those that don't know.

Lexus put the 4.10+ rear end gearing in these cars to help offset the power to weight ratio of the inline 6 cars. The inline 6 cars are actually too heavy to make only 220hp.

If you were to swap in a 3.76 diff on a non turbo 3.0, it's gonna be a total dog just about everywhere in powerband.

I have a W58 + SC400 rear end (3.92) and 70mph is about 3k. maybe even higher... it sucks for gas mileage and highway driving lol.

Thats how it is... put a 3.26 out of a GS400 if you want to get some crazy low RPMs.

Yea, that is high. I just checked what my rpms were. My 92 which is stock with the 4 spd auto is at 2825 rpm at 80mph. With the overdrive off it is at about 4000 rpm. Seems to me your overdrive must be in the off position. I would check that out.
