will these HID's work??

The ballasts will, that's about it. LS is a reflector beam so the optics are out of the question and their D2R bulbs correspond accordingly. If you're going for a kit type deal, you'll need rebased HID capsules (D2S to HB4). The only Lexus HID that will work in ours is the SC430s, the only other Lexus car using projector headlights.

thanks for your reply... i've been looking for the "perfect hid kit" but i'm worried about the cut off line and everything, what do you recommend?
i notice that you're well informed on this subject, and any help would grealy be appreciated. i know howie sold his kit because it wasn't up to par, but who knows.... my lights suck, and i would love to get hid's. thanks!

what specifically are you worried about the cut off line with the SC? If it's the blurriness then retrofitting another HID ballast won't change a thing, the blurriness is due to the reflectiveness of the interior of the headlight.
just found that out tonight

The blinding, glare, zero-cut off effect is more prominent in reflector headlights. In projectors, there is a bit more control of light. I haven't put an HID bulb into the SCx00 optics yet, but my guess is that you won't have as good a cut-off line or focus and the beam pattern won't be clean, but with the aiming screws, you'll be able to control and adjust the blindness and glare factor.
My OEM retrofit project isn't coming along well. I've scoured all the junkyards within a 50 mile vicinity and none of them have OEM HID headlights, hell almost none of the yards had Lexuses or any other luxo cars. I may have to make a day trip to the Toyota Parts yard in Sacremento. But otherwise, I just may settle for an HID kit.

thanks for your input! i was going to wait for your OEM retrofit, but i couldnt' wait any longer. My friend is a salesperson at Hiper Industries, and they have HID kits for our car. Is this a cheap company?
If you were to buy a HID kit right now, which one would you buy and what temp? 4300 or 6000+K??? thanks for your input, and i've been asking my local salvage yards too for the HID's off the SC430. no luck....

There are a bunch of people here with SCx00s and HID kits. Could a couple of you with digicams take pics of your SC HIDs projected onto a blank white matte wall? Distance can vary from 5-20 feet away. This would really help in determining the cut off ability of our halogen projectors. Also a picture of the ground ahead of your SC with a shot of the beam pattern (or lack thereof) would be very useful. The darker the surroundings, the better the photos.
Do-luck, if it were me, I would buy a Bosch, Denso, Philips or Hella ballast with an Osram or Philips bulb between 4200K and 5400K.
The SC430 headlight is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find. The production numbers on that car are low already, and that car is equipped with so many onboard safety controls that you'll RARELY EVER come across one in a yard. And when they do come in, they'll be stripped clean of every useable part before they touch the parts yards. The SC430 headlights aren't even stocked at the dealerships. I'm hunting more along the lines of BMW 3-series, more common than a house fly around here.

Yeah, you need a D2S bulb rebased for the 9006 standard. The D2R bulb is coated with a metallic strip that reduces output. Because there are so many members on the boards that use the K2/Vision/Hana kit, I will only say that they are not on par with the other brands I mentioned above.
