I'm wondering how I can wire my subwoofer because there doesn't seem to be a way I can reach the wire to the battery from inside. How did you guys do it?

Well, I drive in quality, now I want to hear quality sound.
I want to set up a descent set up for my car. I'm not looking for a car that will blow it's own trunk off with 5 subwoofers in the trunk. I'll probably have 1 sub, and some descent speakers for my mids and highs. What should I be looking for first?

Look at this link. It should give you all the wiring to tap into for all of the speakers. I would change out the sub to a Kicker or JL, then upgrade the other speakers. The fronts are 4 inches, and the rear are 5 1/4.. I going to give you 2 links for the front door speaker upgrade that I just did and the link to Lextreme.com

I myself enjoy car audio. Do you plan on installing everything urself. I redid all my audio at a shop, I purchased JBL speakers all around for the inside and got rid of the factory amp for a panasonic 4 channel amp. 4'' in the front 6 1/2 components with tweeters for the highs and mids. I got say that setup worked great for me but was lacking the low end sound so i purchased a jl audio 12w3 and a alpine mono amp and i got to say it hits hard and its a jl aduio best subwoorfer brand IMO. Now i set off alarms and **** parents off who have sleeping children in their car hahaha.
