Was there ever a SC300 produced with the 32 Valve V8 ?

Hmmm, looks like I bought someones "creation" Last Saturday I bought a 93 SC300 ( thats what the title and the emblems say) but it appears to have the same V8 as my 92 LS400, I would post pics but it doesnt appear that I am able to post pictures yet.

indeed Lexus has created a rare SC3 edition that came with a v8 inside. prolly a handful in the world.

 

the possibilities here are that someone mis-badged the car for some reason. for whatever reason the emblems were changed someone lacked attention and threw the wrong one on there. orr, someone decided to swap in a 1UZ-FE which i suppose is do-able

they made a V8 SC300 and called it SC400...

 

Didnt do my homework , just lifted the hood saw a Lexus V8 and took it for a spin. I will take a closer look today, only paid $1800.00 so hopefully I didnt get hurt too bad.

well technically they made an inline-6 SC400 and called it SC300....

 

Does it ride nice? Any pics of the motor and such, I want to see if its a hack job or something that looks like stock.
