Yeah, but I can say the same thing about a lot of other cars. The transformation of the Z30 series soarers compared to the Z10s and Z20s soarers is beyond night and day. Going from a sharp-line boxy design to a design w/ nothing but curves makes the two cars soooo different to me. I see more resemblance between a Nissan S14 to our cars than a Z20 soarer.

^ (Romeo) I hear ya..
I wasn't saying they look totally alike; just that from what I see, the stripe on ours appears as a subtle hint of the past; originating from the slanted shape of the Z20.
(Just my guess.. Im not sayin' Toyota-said-so or anything.)
Though curvey.. The strike-thru look, does indeed make the SC appear as tho it will "Soar" thru the streets, or te Hwy.
Perhaps that slant is a signature thing; how the Skylines all have the round taillights; although they were a bit different with each model.
Remember how the Celica's old advertisments were "Look's Fast";
well the SC really does.
Maybe Im wrong.. Just a hypothesis ... But does anyone know the origin,
or the inspiration for the Strike-thru design?
