Black Housing Headlights...?

Easy enough to do though, if you don't mind losing a little light, talk to ComputerWiz or Emerald.

Takes a few hours total to do them yourself.

i was thinking of doing a black housing too. it looks like wiz has just the outside tinted. i want the outside clear and the silver behind it black. i am working on a project with a busted headlight, and ill make sure to post how it turns out.

Good thing Gingers hairdryer temperature shutoff was broken, so the coils stayed on constantly, getting hot enough to melt the glue.
I didn't wanna buy a heat gun JUST for that.

I tried to ... scrape off as much of the glue as possible.... didn't do a thing and a complete waste of time. I used the blowdryer and it took 2 passes, about 15 minutes and with a little grunt work to pull them apart they finally came apart.
then i decided to get rid of ALL the glue (going to redo the glue later)
after that, the rest is easy (haven't glued back together yet though)

sorry to bring up an old post
Has anyone else done this? All the new JDM stuff, one piece headlights have black housing - not the lense but the silver housing holding the headlight lens/lamps. Any other photos?
