Anybody come out with iPod integration for my 99 yet?
I just got myself a 99 SC300 and I was wondering if anybody came out with anything that is plug and play for the stock ice?
I did find that write up and will do that if there's nothing else out there available. I'd just rather have something that was ready to go.
Thanks guys

I cant say for sure no, but I would highly doubt anything comes out for a system that old, because you dont have a screen or any sort of display for the iPod to fully integrate into, no matter what, you will always have to pick your songs on the iPod with the stock head unit in. Its not possible to have a fully integrated system. There are plenty of auxiliary port functions where you can add extra ports and plug into the deck, so it produces the nice digital sound, as opposed to using FM transmission or the tape or any of that other stuff. Sorry to say so, but the auxiliary port isnt worth doin too much with, a new deck with integration would be much cheaper.

Damn, that sucks.
I really don't care if I have to pick my own songs, I was just really hoping I could find a way to plug my iPhone in and play music, since I haven't used CD's in over 3 years lol.

^ going from digital to analog ain't a good plan.
the technology of the iphone/ipod is 8 years newer than the car, and 12 years newer than the technology of the stereo so there's nothing short of rewinding time that is going to fix that.
There are so many nice double din units these days to replace the stock head, and since you don't use cd's you won't need the changer so why not......
With iPods prices hovering in the $50 range for 60 gig 4th gen's, there's no reason anyone should still be lugging around a CD case.

I use my iTrip with my iPod for long road trips, but unfortunately its not compatible with my iPhone. I'm saving up for a nice screen with BlueTooth so I can just play my iPhone thru the cars speakers that way..
