Polished looks amazing but:
1. Everyone does it
2. It can start to look like poo if its not polished and cleared properly.

I spotted a half empty can of metalic purple when I was doing my LSD and brakes so I decided to spray mine since they looked like they were soaking in brine and refried beans. It actually looks decent so I may redo them proper. Prob not though. I dont spend enough time on the car. Now I have to get wheels that clear the brakes.

I would go with silver with black lettering or black with white lettering.
