Default Brain fart question about SC300/400 transmissions..

I am having the BIGGEST brainfart here.. I have searched and cannot find anything about this..

I know the 5-Speed transmissions are basically the w58, r154 etc.. BUT what is the transmission code/name for the Automatics from 92-97?!?! This is driving me nuts! Also, what are it's abilities to hold power? 300/350/400?!? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks much!

-Justin

EDIT: it's not the A340 is it? That just doesn't sound right... Altho, I could be wrong..

A340 is the stock auto trans, so yes your correct. 300-325hp if I remember correctly, but can be remedied fairly easily and pushed to handle a bit more.

Hmm, well thanks man. That info basically told me that building an Auto n/a transmission was pointless if you want some real power.. Are there any other Auto transmissions out there, Aside from the TT tranny, that can handle 5-550? Reason I ask for an auto is because it will be used for racing.. I.E straight line racing, using trans brake, fully adjustable rear, ladder bar set-up or 4 link set-up. It will be a street AND drag car.. basically a slower Outlaw Street car.. Same guy who built my Mothers 9 second Duster will be doing the chassis work on mine. Any dogbox kits available for the a340 or r154? Always been a Mopar guy(Old Mopar, not the new knock off stuff) so my knowledge on these transmissions is a bit rough.. Much appreciated!

The only trans I can think of for that much power in an auto would be the TH400 which I am sure your familiar with coming from old school Mopar. Although its a tad on the pricey side, from the few SC's I have seen making the power to use them, they hold up excellent. As for the dogbox kits, I have no idea..never had plans to take my SC to that HP range unless I went with the V160.

The one person that comes to mind that is using the TH400 trans is Hyjaxx, and I think she put a good amount of info in her thread about the trans.
