Cool From Beginning to End...

This is pretty much it folks...the road is coming to the end for this project. I just wanted to share with y'all the journey of my SC from beginning to end. It took me exactly 3 years.
Lately, I've been too busy focusing on another hobby that leaves me no spare money for modding. So this will be one of my last threads I'll open up in the SC
forum for awhile.

I've always wanted a 5-speed SC. So in the fall of 2006, I found a rare 1993 hardtop stick shift SC300. Some of you may even remember this SC offered in the classifieds.
The car needed work, and I was aware of that. So this is what makes it special about my build/restoration. It will get restored and glorified once again.
My objective was clear. I wanted to build/modify this SC to be reliable and fun to drive overall, for a very long time. My taste is modest and conservative,
so no forced induction or crazy aero mods.

Here is how I got her....lowered on Tanabe springs, 5-Zigen Typhoons, 95-96 tails, LS front brakes, TT Sway Bars, Lextech Cluster, and Walbro Fuel Pump

Shortly thereafter,
I got rid of the rims, and slapped on TT wheels that I had laying around...

Then she went under the knife...

Then I collected the 97+ parts from my old SC...and trucked them to the bodyshop

During her time in the bodyshop, I ordered some other "goodies"
HKS Hipermax RS Coilovers

Shifter Boot and ****

JDM Window Visors

Cusco CF STB

CCW Classic Wheels

When she came back...fresh factory “Graphite Metallic” coat

During the assembly process...

Then the Suspension goodies...

Slapped on the Shifter Boot and ****...

Then I completely serviced the engine and other suspension components. It was a long and expensive service list...LoL
- New OEM Timing Belt/Water Pump/Seals
- New OEM Radiator
- New OEM Oil Pan and Dipstick O-Ring
- New OEM Power Steering Rack and Pinion Assembly
- New OEM Front lower sub frame cross member
- New OEM Supra LCA’s
- New OEM Rear Main Seal
- New OEM Spark Plugs
- New OEM Cap and Rotor and Plug Wires
- New Fluids
- And a ton of other small miscellaneous crap

After all that, it was time to take her for a spin…ran great nonetheless. This is the how her stance was with the coilovers straight out of the box.

Not long after, I mounted these on the CCW’s

And added some mufflers I had laying around…old school Greddy SP’s

Then lowered her a bit more…and then pretty much called it a day

I believe that I achieved my goal of modifying and sustaining a dependable and unique vehicle. I can drive her anywhere with confidence for the years ahead. I know what I’ve done will not suite everybody’s taste, but this was what I had envisioned. So, I would like to thank ClubLexus and its devoted members in giving me the inspiration and knowledge behind this build. Hats off to the best forum on the world wide web!
