iam thinking buying these wheels from my friend..
i always liked to get 19s for my black sc, started to like the volk te37, but i think a set of them cost at least 1400 for 19s, plus tires, i will end up spending around 2700 for new rims and tires. my friend traded in his 350z and left the aftermarket 20s zinik wheels, he wanted to sell them to me long ago, but i passed, cause its 20s. now iam thinking about buying his cause i dont feel like to spend too much on a new set. i know people here dont like chrome, i dont either, but his doesn't have too much chrome, if it doesn't look good on my sc, i will paint them black and leave the lip chrome. anyway, still need to call him to get the exact size, i b able to get his for $800 with tires( 80% tread left). wat u guys think? also, can someone find out how much for those 19s volk te37 , thanks

Lets just say you get what you paid for... If u get those chrome rims and painted them black, the paint will chip and u gotta repaint them and stuff. Best way is to get professionally done by sandblasting them. It holds alot better than paint, but that probably cost you extra 500 for all four. I say if u have 800 now, just wait and save up more, don't rush things too quick. Make sure you do your homework on Width and offsets too if you want a nice looking.

They are kind of tacky. Also do you have aftermarket suspension or kit? 20''s look weird on a stock body. I had chrome 20''s on my first SC (came with the car) and they just didn't look right. Granted you won't have too much wheel gap, everything else doesn't look right. The only SCs here that look AWESOME with 20''s are kitted and lowered somewhat if not slammed.

TE's are my rim of choice, and am always hoping for a nice fitting set to pop up somewhere. But it looks like there's tonnes of ppl thinking that way. I'm starting to think my chances are slim, and should look for another similar but cheaper rim..

I agree with the others, just be patient. I'm in the same boat as you; if you get that chrome set you may regret it later. try searching on other forums classifieds.
