Default A VERY stupid Co-Worker...

Well, i have a 92 SC4, very beautiful all stock and painted by maaco on Feb. 09. It was a very nice job too=) well one day i was going to work and i parked my car like any ordinary day. I walked through the door and my key alarm went off....I have an aftermarket alarm....so i walked outside and was hoping someone was just teasing me....to find out my co-worker hit my 1/4 panel......it was not as bad as i thought but she actually hit my PARKED car! I do not have a license nor insurance, but the car does have insurance...well we talked it out and she said she was going to pay me $535....thats the cost to fix it....well i got fired from my job and when i contacted her i said i need to know when im gonna get the money and she says....well i have stuff i need to pay for...like i felt like she was not going to pay......she was driving a POS Dodge Caravan with a licnese but no insurance.....since my car was parked can i still file charges or what should i do clublexus!!!

1. i didnt know maaco did nice paint jobs.

2. it wouldnt be very smart to do anything considering you breaking the law by driving with no license and no insurance.

3. get a drivers license and insurance - it is foolish and put other drivers with these items in a difficult place if you were ever to have an accident with them.

Legally, you are both in the wrong. But if she promised you money, I would make her ****ing pay for defaulting on her word. Pressure her

Why did you get fired?

All I can really suggest for you is small claims court but you guys both fail for being uninsured/unlicensed. Regardless of all that she should still hold up her end of the bargain and pay for the damages to your vehicle.

why does he need a license if his car is parked? he wasn't breaking the law when his car got hit cause he wasn't driving it. you should have taken all of her info. your only options are wait for her to pay you, sue her, or hope the insurance your car does have will pay out for being hit by a non-insured driver.

believe it or not there are people who own cars that do not operate them, either cause they are incapable of it or choose not too. if your car has insurance at all it may be covered under non-insured motorist coverage.

Don't mind my language but you can't do jack ****.

You both are in the wrong.

You by not having insurance/license and her for hitting a parked car w/ no insurance.
There's no way you're getting any kind of reimbursement for the unfortunate occurence unless it's cash from her.

Then again, she already has crap to pay. Just keep on her about it and talk it out. Maybe you and her can reason out a couple of payments rather than a whole lump sum.
