glad you are okay, need to take driving very seriously in the rain.
It happened to me once before too my only accident in my first car by myself and lost it in the rain going 30 over a bridge

The reason they wont let you get the car back is because N.Y. state law prohibits the sale of cars with deployed airbags,it is Illegal to replace airbags in that state.You can fix it...but it wont be allowed to be registered in N.Y.
The car most likely will be auctioned off at a out of state auction....If they pay you the car in full they will declare a certificate of destruction(C.D.) and the car will be scrapped and sold for parts.Just ask the guy(Aligia) on here who sells parts in N.Y. he has many crashed SC's for a reason

Yeah I deal with him quite often.
So theres absolutely nothing I can tell them to obtain the car again? The car will not be registered or driven, ever again.
Oh well, tomorrow they pick it up. I am in a total state of confusion.

I was thinking of doing so ! lol
It's all good. I won't cry or smile til I hear an amount from insurance. Hoping to get about 5gs. That will set my heart at rest.
Funny how these cars become so close to you. My girlfriend actually started arguing with me about how come I make such a big deal about my car, but when we break up I never seem to care as much.. lol
Anyway, im rambling on. As I said before, I wait!

dammmnn imarshall im just seeing this thread after reading it for 15 min..glad to see ur alive bro...i almost spun out 2day on the highway..it rained earlier and the streets looked dry so i was goin 25mph and then floored it and ended up fishtailing for a second then i gained control back and i was scared ****less...damn bro i was so lookin forward to checkin out ur ride..nyways i sell used cars..i might not be able to get a 5spd but i can get you an sc cheap tho...message me if ur interested

This is BS man. kbb states over 2gs more than they are giving me. I could see them going 500 less than kbb or something, but 2g's. This is ridiculous. I left a voicemail and im waiting for a call back.
