Default giving up sc, buying supra

i got my 97 sc4 7 months now, have 82k miles on it. about to give it to my sis, then my father will pay me 10k. i still love the sc, it still going to b in the family, i can get it back if i decide to, anyway, i am sorry, supra look sportier than sc, iam looking for 93-98 supra, manual, i want a fast car , around 400hp, just want some suggestions on wat to look for, should i get the non turbo one, then swap in a twin turbo, and upgrade it, or buy a stock twin turbo supra then upgrade from there? if i get the non turbo one, should i get the 2jzge(93-96) or MFI(97-98), thanks , i will post this on supra forums. i also thought of getting g35 coupe for long time, but they r just too common, wat u guys think? i really like the fact the supras r very rare!, it just feels cool own one..

buy a stock TT supra, then upgrade from there, if you so desire.

fyi: having 400hp is nothing special in a supra. Shoot for 750-800bhp if you're really fiending for power like you seem to be.

GL w/ your new car.

the only difference between the mk4 supra non turbo engines is the vvti system, and I believe that only came in 98's. Idk what a mki is, but if you can find a 97-98 turbo or non turbo for a good price, I'd jump on it.

Buy the TT if you can, other words just buy an NA, doesn't matter on the year, VVTI will probably be harder to mod than a non vvti, so I'd go with a 93-97.

NA's are a lot cheaper than TT 6spd's.

Short on cash = NA

Dont' give a damn about your wallet size = TT 6spd.
You seem to have a lot of questions the internet can answer.

Read up on some of those things. You'll probably get more info than what you initially expected.

I have both and love both cars. 93 SC300 5speed and 97 Supra TT 6speed. Good luck in getting into a nice Supra!

Take advantage of buying a Supra right now in this economy...Especially now, since Supras are now starting to depreciate in value.

right now, when i get the 10k for my sc, then i will have about 14k total, plus some loans from credit cards, iam willing to spend under 20k on a supra. yea,i know 400 hp is nothing on a supra, i will go for more, 400 hp is the least i am goin to make. most of the manual supras i found thats under 20k is over 100k miles, not sure if i want tha or no, well, it wont matter if i find a good 2jzgte engine for swap.

a 400 hp supra is like a minivan without the third seat. It's only a little bit faster than it was to begin with. Need to see double that to get any fun out of it.

I've had 400 at the wheels of my IS300 before and it's still kinda rubber bandy feeling. To get over the slingshot rubber band feeling you gotta start at about 550 at the wheels.

yea , i believe u, iam the person who wants more and more. just dont want to spend too much to get it to 550 range
well, if i get a 2jzge , it only make 225hp, so getting it to 400hp is quite a difference
