Alright, here's the story,, i'll be getting clear sidemarkers for my SC300 in a little while. They're supposedly not street legal, but has anyone ever gotten into any trouble for it? Basically, im trying to decide whether or not i should go through the trouble of using orange bulbs once i get them. Thanks!

 

It's illegal to have white running lights in the clear sidemarkers.
There is a bulb on the market that's clear when unactivated and orange when illuminated.

 

I just use orange bulbs. The white ones didn't look that good anyway...

I have the JDM sidemarkers with a hiper bulb inside that emis a white/bluish hue to it. I haven't had any problems with law enforcement in the past two years. Down in So. Cali, they mainly pull over ricer cars for that stuff.

 

I've had clears on it for a while now, with clear bulbs. never once have I had a problem, and my car stands out a little more than the average lex...heh

Thanks for the input guys,, lex400sc, I thought yours looked real good. So i'm thinking that i'll try to pull off something like that. (Also because I dont have the guts to try anything that might get me pulled over!) Thanks again.

Where did u order your side markers from for your SC3. My friend has one and loves those clear side markers. If u could email the link or who makes them and where I can find them.

Here are the JDM clears I got imported.


If you look at all the pictures you can see that the lense bulges out a little like a ramp. I have some super white bulbs in there which lost its bluish tint. But yeah, I like em!

If those are the same ones I almost got, they are $159. Forgot what website though.

 

dont bother ordering them. You can make them your self in an hour's time and costs around $7. And they look just as good.

 

ACleanSC4, those are exactly like mine! They look great, trust me... but you could always make them yourself. BUT the JDM look is sooooooooooooooooooooo nice, IMO

 

Yeah, I like those clear ones that you guys have. Looks nice. Where and how much?
