SC400 rough idle, off idle fine, then doesnt start one morning
I have a 92 Lexus SC400 with 220,000 miles. Car always ran perfectly and real strong. Then one cold morning I started it, I heard "something" and then the car rough idles. It runs extremely rich at idle, feels like its runing on less than 8 cylinders. No CEL comes up, nothing. I accelerate and its fine once its above 1300rpms, cruises fine. But as soon as idle comes it runs like its a few cylinders short.
Then I park it, and come back to it a few days later. Try to start it and I hear the starter "clang" as if tis trying to turn over but hit something stuck and not turn over. Try again a few times, it just clangs but doesnt start over.
Again no cel, I will be checking the battery to see if it doesnt have enough voltage, then going to the starter, but the fuel/idle issue couldnt be a starter, so it really makes me wonder if somethinhg happened? I dunno. Suggestions?

If you suspect that the car is running on less than 8 cylinders, I would check the spark on each plug. Maybe that is the culprit. If it is the starter than the battery might not have enough juice to push the solenoid out to turn the flywheel to start the car.
Good luck.
Good luck.
