Default Climate Control: Is it suppose to make an audible noise?

Okay, I noticed that '92-'94 year model SC's with a fully functional Climate Control makes an audible "Beeping" noise whenever you change around the mode or level of air flowing into the cabin. I have a '95 year model SC300, My buddy has a '95 as well and another friend of mine has a '96 And none of our Climate Controls in our SC's make that so-called "Beeping" noise, But they still work perfectly fine though (no bleeding screens,etc...) Can it be purely coincidental that all 3 of our Climate Controls are somewhat busted? Or did '95-'96 year models not have that audible "Beeping" noise? Also, what of the '97-'00 models? Did they have that "beeping" noise on their climate controls?

Please jot down your year model SC and confirm whether or not your Climate Control makes that audible "Beeping" noise. I would like input from all the owners from across all 3 series of SC models Thanks all!

I have a 93 SC300 and my climate control makes that beeping sound. I figured they all did that but I guess they don't.

Yeah, I figured that too...But it's almost statistically impossible to have 3 separate SC owners that all know each other, having the same exact Climate Controls issues. So yeah, since my Climate Control works just fine, I'll just assume that '95-'96 model Climate Controls weren't equipped to make that beeping noise, But if '97+ models' Climate Controls make that noise, Then those of us that own '95-'96 year models were screwed over entirely.

You kinda figure that Toyota/Lexus would do something that with the alarm confirmation beeping noise feature and make it standard on models "going forward", But it's very unusual for Toyota "to go backwards" and exclude a tiny little feature like that in precedent year models once it was introduced back in the '92-'94 models...But for some reason, they did...Gosh darnit! Now I want a fully functional '92-'94 Climate Control (modified with amber back lighting of course) now...LOL!

I kind of like the little beep. It makes me feel like I own one of those fancy new cars with a bunch of buttons on the dash. The only noise my Saturn makes is the squealing from my brakes....

So it's been confirmed and concluded that the Climate Controls for the '92-'94 models have that audible "beeping" noise while the '95-'00's do not...Awesome! Now I can die in peace knowing I don't have a busted climate control.
