Heard a lot of horrible stories about aftermarket hood flying off. People did have suggested to use hood pins.
Damn dude.. sorry for that. Maybe you can claim it through VIS and have them at least give you another hood.

Wow thats really crazy! I had my VIS hood fly off my car a couple years ago, but it was all my fault. I forgot to latch the hood pins.

I think you got off lucky. I have seen those hoods smash the windshield. What are your plans for a replacement?

install some hood pins, get the top make holes and tear them up a bit the claim VIS fault and demand a new one.

And I thought VIS was a pretty good brand. Hood pins don't help the hood glue from breaking apart, ONLY keeping the hood from flying away itself. Quality of this hood was garbage. Like Ali SC3 said, it sucks it was only glue'd on the edges.
