That's completely correct. I had to put 2 more layers of fiberglass mat and resin under the hood to make it stronger. I recommend doing this for any CF hood (if people call it CF hood..LOL). $15 for a fiberglass repair kit from Autozone and a sticky job are all they take.

yeah if i could go back in time id never buy one AND I HOPE NOBODY BUYS ONE.... pretty much the people at VIS arn't helping me some dude named andy wanted me to call the whole seller i got the hood from to get another hood rofl the whole seller is just going to tell me to contact VIS then he gave me some more bs about how almighty hood pins yeah like that add's glue to it more like i would have had a lose piece of carbon on a fiber glass shell and still been pissed also whats his name lost his carbon hood @ the texas mile pretty much the same way mine went just i let off the gas and slowed down i guess thats why my lower layer is still on the car.

Sorry to see what happened Matt. If you really wanna let go of the car let me know. I'll fly up and bring her back to my new home in S. Fl. She'll fit right in down here. But lemme know if you want a hood. I have some sitting at my sisters place in Germantown.

Im like you man i hate the CF hood with the pins ,now i know i will never get a CF hood.
Damn you are blowing everything off that car with that Turbo, 1rst time blew the factory hoods with the hinges off the car ,and now the CF hood you need to install the stock twins back in there lol J/K man. But let me know if you need a Hood
I agree Matt....lets just go to crazy rays and get another hood...and paint it black.
