Oil Pressure Light
I just bought a 92 SC300 and I have a few questions for anyone that can help: First question is can we pump regular unleaded fuel into the car, or do we have to pump premium unleaded in it? Second question is if we leave the car unrunning for about two or more hours and then turn it on, the Oil Pressure light stays on for two to three seconds. Can this mean engine trouble? Third question is does anyone know where we can fing a repair manual for the SC300? Thanks.

pump regular gas its only the difference of a few $$ why would you do that ... ok well some guys have gone with 89 I think ... but I wouldn't.
the red oil light is the one to watch out for.. if you just got the car why not take it to a dealer or trusted mechanic and have the car checked out?
although some dealers arn't 100% honest.

Until the car builds up the correct oil pressure upon startup, it will show the red oil light. On cold cold days (in the past when I lived somewhere that it gets cold...lol) it would stay on for upwards of 5 seconds or so.
As for gas, use 92 or up...don't cheat on it. The cars ECU will have to retard timing due to pinging/detonation, so you'll lose power. Lost power = decrease in fuel economy. Detonation = bad for engine.
