what to do

You should have bought $3000 worth of tools, and did it your self.
Otherwise you are waisting your time with this car.If i counted how much money + labor(free) i put in this car i could have bought a new car.But because the labor was free(me fixing it), i only spend les than $900 thats including H/G change and everything else like tune up,plus stereo rewire and install.
You need to start working on your car yourself , you will save A LOT of $$$
Get a FSM and look in it every day to get familiarized with it.

well im out of town right now but i'll get picks as soon as i'm back home. the car is nice but still stock so don't expect some ridiculous car with a body kit and some extremely expensive rims just a stock blue lexus but it is beautiful in my opinion.

frankly, there are more cost effective ways to deal with this issue. I agree with the other posters that it's not hard to swap stuff out yourself.
$3k in repairs? DId the car drive into the shop? If so, I have a hard time envisioning $3k- F that noise.
Find a different shop- get some good referrals, and learn to DIY- these cars are very stable and as long as you don't abuse them, or run them out of what they need to live (oil, the required coolant and regular maintanence) it won't leave you stranded.

hey is the the stock sub in the sc400 worth keeping or should i swap it along with the 2 new rear speakers. i'd like to have a good amount of base in my system without drowning out the rest of the system.
