i havent soldered since high school.. but its not bad i guess
final mockup before i check the soldering, heatshrink wires, position everything properly, etc. i think it came out pretty good. i sprayed the lenses a bit darker for that deep cherry red.

Looks great so far!!! Did you put the tailights in the oven or use a heat gun? Just getting everyone's idea on how they have opened tailights and headlights from before.
These are going to turn out very nice.....great work and detail. Just wait till I get another set of 97's again.....going to do something that has not been seen yet as well.

What did you use to spray the tail lights for the darker red?
Also, what is behind the LED strips? is that just cardboard or something?
Lastly, do you plan to use any type of resistors and can you post the wiring details?

its sheet metal
no resistors needed. the ribbon is 12v ready and has resistors wired in if you look at the soldering picture i posted.

ill be using the lights on my car to make a 2nd set pretty soon and possibly a 3rd set if anyone is interested
