I do my fluid every 15K like clock work...I use Lexus Trans Fluid
I wanna switch too Syn trans Fluid....anyone do this? Is it OK.
I switched to Amsoil 10W30 for the engine and I noticed a great improvement over Mobil 1.
Any help would be great.

Don't even think about it!
Before May 01/02 the only ATF fluid allowed in our tranny's was Toyota Type IV. As of now, there is a new Type IV out and thats the next best thing!
Type IV ATF - Part ##: 08886-81015

The part number I have is 08886-01705, is it "the old" Toyota type IV?
I just checked service manual and it says, Fluid type : Type T-II or equivalent. so type IV is no problem?

The part number above is the *new* Type IV fluid.
You should considering to change the ATF fluid at a shorter interval. Maybe 5k because if i'm not mistaken, your ATF fluid totals around 7l throughout your tranny. Lexus only replaces 4l. So there is still the old stuff floating around.
