Default Steel wheels

This may sound like a stupid question to you guys, but I am just trying to be on the safe side. Long story short, I have 19x8.5" chrome wheels on the front and 19x9.5" on the back of my 94 SC300 and I am looking to get some steel wheels with snow tires for the winter before it starts snowing here. I was just wondering if it would be safe if I could get any 5x114.3 steelies (steel wheels) off of any car with the same bolt pattern like a Honda or something and put them on my car with snow tires? I just don't want the them to bend or whatever considering the fact that an SC is not a very light car compared to a 4 cylinder. I just want whatever steelies I put on there to be durable. Any help on this? I just don't want salt/snow all over my chrome in the winter. Not to mention, I'd like to take the wheels I have on my SC now and clean them up better for the Spring without them being on the car since that is the easiest way to clean them.

Yeah but as long as they are 5x114.3 bolt pattern, does it matter what car they come off of? Will that be safe? Or are they all the same durability?

Steel wheels are stronger than any alloy wheels. They are steel. Just make sure it's 5x114.3 and the hub size is the same or larger. Lexus/Toyota hubs are 60mm. Plus you have to make sure they clear the calipers.

You can try Camry steel wheels or any other toyota wheels. Or just get some stock alloy wheels. Nissan hub size is 66mm. The 2002+ altima 16" steel wheels clear z32 brakes on the 240sx so it should clear the SC brakes. Honda is 64mm.

So I would stick to Lexus/toyota wheels because they will be hubcentric so no vibrations and stress on your wheels studs.

Default Steel Wheels

I bought a set of wheels from a 2004 KIA Amanti and mounted snows on them. These wheels fit my 98 SC300 (same bolt pattern and offset) and a couple of other cars I have. You can probably get a set fairly cheap and they look pretty nice.
