Kind of related question pertaining to rotating mass. Can any of the wheels on the items spinning on the drivebelt be replaced with light weight ones? I know it seems small but sometimes these things add up.

Thank you, thank you I will try and provide further entertainment in my massive states of boredom. I am sure to have one of those inspirational moments =)

one more thing... take an industrial grinder and grind the paint, primer and while you are at it shave some of the metal too.

Hermosa, you mean the pulleys? They'll help, try GReddy (underdrive) or Unorthodox (lightweight), just skip the crank pulley, as you'll hear from ten other ppl. VSsc400, how 'bout acid-dipping the body, like they used to do on the old factory drag cars?

Luthor. I was not aware that they dipped the cars in acid. beside burning off the paint what other weight saving effects does it have?

They had no paint when they dipped them, it thins the metal, but that was in the days before carbon fibre...

VSsc400 were you a wrestler?

Cause talking about weigh-ins gives me the shivers... last season I was a 152 Lbs. Wrestler, but I weighed 160 (I was 6'1" @ the time). 2 days a week I would cut all that wieght in H20 and food. Not fun, not fun @ all.

Once the season ended, I went from 152 to 175 Lbs in 2 weeks.

Man, that wasn't a fun time... And my GF dumped me too. (I wonder why? )

While I'm on Girl Friends, when my girlfriend was in 2nd grade, she wrote a poem about "her Lexus"... it was really her moms. But anyhow... Just a funny tid bit...

Oh yea... I won the league meet this year in a higher wieght class.

Don't try cutting weight... Not eating food is a crappy deal!

Ok... Now I'm the board one

My friend was a champion wrestler and he cut weight by chewing starburst candies and spitting saliva in a water bottle. One day he filled one of those two liter bottles with colorful blends of saliva. It was turly one of the grossest things I've seen. Imagine getting that bottle dumped over your head! Yech!

Naaa not a wrestler but when I used to compete in Tae Kwon Do competition and remember having to make weight cut. I used to be a healthy 175lbs then started working 10 to 12 hour days and went all the way up to 210 and now I'm back down @ 185-190. weigh-ins suck....
