Driver Side lower door panel leak - yes i searched - read
Alright. so the day i got my car, it was pouring down rain and i had to keep the window down because the cars battery was completely drained. the following few days i noticed that the interior was reallly wet so i dried it out as best i could.
i washed the car and cleaned out all of the weather stripping since the car been sitting under a tree for about a year. i thought my water issues were gone until it rained. i checked to see where the water was coming out and its DEFINITELY coming from the sunroof drain.
so yesterday i pulled the trim off, got some water and poured it into the hole, unfortunately nothing really happened. which meant a clog. so i got a 5ft cord of grounding wire and stuck it inside and tried to churn it about. then i got my air compressor and sprayed some air in. i tried the water again and it worked, i had water coming from the drain under the car instead of onto.
so today.. like every other day it was raining and actually started to snow (Maryland)! no leaks what so ever!... UNTILL I OPENED THE DOOR. once i opened the door, stepped outside for a few moments then closed it, i noticed water dropping from the A pillar. so i came home got the air compressor again, and tried to unjam it. but this time it didnt feel like it was spitting anything out on the other end.
so my thought currently is to replace the weather stripping on the sun roof.. and or permanently close off the driver side drain hole.
-thoughts?
