Default AIT Fitment Detailed Pics

Needs some trimming/sanding.

Had to notch both sides to make it fit. Will have to re-fiberglass/bondo that edge.

For the haters, I know this is a replica kit, I have 2 other cars that I'm working on as well so this one is on a lower budget. I have purchased OEM aero parts before, Shine and AIT.

At any rate, fitment is so-so compared to Shine's parts as I have Shine parts on my other car. The material is basically fiberglass with a very minor tolerance for flex. They have a promo video showing them twisting the parts but what you don't hear is the crackling and splinting of the fiberglass (I tried). It's no where near Shine's quality. For the price, can't complain though.

Keep in mind that the side skirt is just held on by the door, no tape or screws. Just test fitting.

Pros: Fitment is decent. Dirt cheap price if you just want the look.

Cons: Does not flex much without cracking. Does not fit correctly without some minor modifications.

Going to put the front bumper on tomorrow. Started to drizzle when I was sanding down the side skirts to make them fit.

I have an AIT vertex front and AIT vertex side. The side fit like crap I had to do a lot of cutting. The front fit fine but the highbeams had gaps.

For $300 shipped I really couldn't complain

I have the Shine kit and had the AIT bumper and the AIT one felt like a rock in comparison. Flexibility is almost non-existent and it was alot heavier. The Shine front bumper cost about $150 bucks more and it is a much better buy.

High beam gaps is a problem for all of the bumpers: authentic, shine, ait.

It sucks to know I bought a authentic kit!! lol oh well. Looks like a lot of work for the sides to fit properly.

I agree that Shine parts are far superior. The thing is I got it off Unified Distributions for only $120. I still might get the Shine AC side skirts instead.

Wow, is that the wholesale price?

For $120, even sanding it and primering costs more!

How does the rear lip fit? I have been looking for a rear lip solution for my car that does not require much modification!
