Bypassing rear brake warning light
Okay so I have a 94 SC300 and the stock wing on my trunk was installed seperate from the factory. I originally had the 3rd brake light on the subwoofer cover in the rear deck, but I instead took out the subwoofer 3rd brake light and put a subwoofer cover in without the brake light since I don't need it anymore because I have the wing. Now my rear brake warning light is staying on all the time and I was wondering if there was a way to bypass it since my new 3rd brake light is the wing? I was wondering if it would be possible to maybe ground the stock wiring somehow and make the light go off? Anyone try this WITHOUT taking out the bulb behind the cluster lol? I still want the light to work for when my other rear lights go out, that's why I don't want to take the bulb out of the cluster.

No it didn't throw it off cause I had the subwoofer cover 3rd brake light plugged in with the wing on the trunk and both functioned fine at the same time with the tail light housings as well and the warning light wasn't on the dash. All I did was unplug the stock wiring from the subwoofer cover 3rd brake light and now the light stays on all the time. I'm not sure where the wiring for the wing on the trunk is tapped into because I bought the car like that. But, when I bought the car the warning light wasn't on because both 3rd brake lights were working at the same time, which looked stupid so that is why I decided to take off the subwoofer cover one. I just want the car to think that the wing on the trunk is the new 3rd brake light. I guess I could try grounding the wiring for the subwoofer cover wiring. Maybe that would work.

why not just plug in the wiring again that was under the subwoofer cover.
maybe it'll work? and put resistors in instead of bulbs?
or maybe even bulbs , i doubt its going to melt your car down just double side tape them and hide them under the subwoofer cover so they arent moving around
