Anyone know how to calibrate the TPS??

 

there isn't a cold start injectors on the 300. is it throwing any codes?

 

i doubt this is it.. but.. i had a problem with my car idling high and bucking or jerking when my throttle position sensor wasn't calibrated ..

 

take it back...and let your mechanic know whats up...or find a new mechanic...that is unsat.."hey my cars broke" "ill fix it" "hmmm my car is still broke?!?! WTF" something like that...

 

Ya I'd take it back to the mechanic, he obviously forgot to calibrate or plug something in properly..

 

its a buddy of mine and he told me to bring it back, i just post up here to see if anyone has experience it before. we scanned it and the only thing that came up is the coolant temp sensor was reading that the car is readin it was cold when it wasnt.

it still jerks and runs rich. thick white smoke, smells like fuel that isnt being burnt.

just got done changing out the coolant temp sensor and it is still running/idling rough. but the smoke has gone away for now.

LexusFTW - CEL did come on on my way to the shop this morning. but the when we scanned it nothing showed up.

 

anyone know the specs to calibrate the TPS?


edit: from research on here 94_soarer had the same problem as me. Car runnin sluggish and white smoke that smelled like gas. He changed his ECU and that fixed his problem.


update: 3 cylinders are running rich like the injectors are stuck open and the other 3 seem like they arent opening.

 

Pin pointed the problem. The ECU is ****ed. We opened it up and there are two burnt spots.
