Default 2JZGTTE J-spec

Toyota Supra 93+
Turbo 2JZGTTE

2JZ 3.0L Turbo
2954cc 6 Cylinder

Twin Turbos
Engine Only

My buddy also told me he can get this one for me for $4000. If I wanted to swap this into my 92 SC400 what would I need to do?
He told me this is a JDM j-spec engine.....

It'll get messy.... You'll need the Engine, Ecu, turbos, everything.

It's a much easier swap into a SC300 5sp. That's how all the big dawgs do it... (Clint (did it 2x), Eathan Banks, Phil Auldredge (sells a manual for the 5sp 300 swap to GTE)

Trade your car in & start over, if you want to turbo.

Just my .02 on a $10,000 subject

Edit:

I neglected to mention, is the ECU for an AT or MT? That could affect it too. Also, you'll the SC300 motor mounts, proably all the AC components too. It's not as easy to go from a 1UZ-FE to a 2JZ-GTE as it is to go from 2JZ-GE to 2JZ-GTE.

Yea... soo anyone else wanna chime in?

I would lose too much if I traded in my car for sc300 5 speed .. I was just pondering on the possibilities..... I've done too much to my car already to do start over...

Aah, don't be a *** Dennis, trade it in and you get to start with a whole new colour and body kit, wait a little bit and we'll do it at the same time, otherwise order up two GTE motors

I've been mulling over that question for months, i've decided to wait until 2003, if at that point there's still no viable forced induction for the 1UZ, then yes, i'll trade it in, I love the Red over Oak and would hate to lose it, but Platinum over Blk would work for me. Also, i'll never find another SC as loaded and cherry as this one, but it's so damn slow I can't take it. So that's the plan, but if I run into a great deal on a GTE i'll swap it in, but it would definitely be easier to have started with an SC3. I know how much you've put into your SC4, I understand, I just dumped about 8 grand into mine in a couple months, but I find i'm still very dissatisfied.

Luthor: think about it this way. Lets say that lexus comes out with 5 or 6 speed version of the sc300 on 2003. I wouldn't mind having 600RWHP on a sc430 body =) just imagine the possibilities.....
