Default Battery Relocation

I've searched and haven't found an answer on this. Do I need to buy/build some type of container for my battery to sit in? My friend got some type of plastic box that he's going to be using. Do I need that?

I'm going to be putting it in the little compartment where the CD changer is/was.

Also, on a similar note, I'm going to be running a car computer. Would it be logical to run a larger battery/alternator or dual batteries?

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Ben

Box is better, the fumes and acid sometimes come out. They sell the boxes anywhere, even k-mart lol.

remember to vent it outside

tie down to a bracket bolted to the frame. necessity of a box depends on whether or not you're going to be using a dry cell or regular battery. if a regular acid battery, make a box and a vent hose for it. if it's a dry cell, i wouldn't worry about a box.

got mines tied down to a bracket thats bolted to the frame. no movement whatsoever.
