Lol the battery is now in the trunk. Working on getting some carpet here soon. Planning to make this car really nice for a change.

I'm thinking these are my future plans.
97+ conversion
mount the gauges in a better place
fix all oil leaks
replace crank pulley with a dampened pulley
get one of the SSR's fixed
make sure the body is free of any scraches and such
re-badge the car where they are missing
LSD or open diff instead of welded
finish the interior
just basically make the car as clean as possible.
I really like the car and I don't see myself giving it up any time soon! But then again I have said that with many cars. I'll take a vid once I get the clutch broken in, about 400 more miles....it's killing me

Well. I had an interesting encounter today. I was driving and notticed an extreme vibration comming from the rear end of the car. I got out of my car and found out that 4 out of 5 lug nuts popped off, and broke 4 studs with it. When it got on the tow truck it then broke the last one. This is what it looked like on the side of the road.

I blame the crappy Advanced Auto lug nuts that I used. They were like plastic and just broke off when I was going around a turn. It just really sucks. I made sure they were torqued down but apparently thats not good enough.

Are those is300 wheels? you need lexus/toyota oem lugs to hold that rim in place. I use to have IS300 wheels on my sc300. All aftermarket lugs I used would cut into the studs because that rim needs oem lugs to hold it. You should have been hearing a metal to metal grinding noise as you drove around town. Thats what I heard when mine were cutting in. I replaced the lugs with OEM and it was fine after. Dang =(. Glad your safe tho could of been in a accident like that.

Remember OEM Rim = get OEM lugs.

Yea, the only reason I put them on there is because one of the SSR's leaks air, so I just went and got some random lug nuts from advacned that fit. There was no noise. Im just glad the wheel didnt fall off when I was driving. Was really lucky.

I'll take everything but the shell

PS- you need a current vid of this thing pulling.

PPS- you'll need to part this car out to see 13k or even close IMO. (like has been said by others in the beginning)

Doink! ya beat me to it. I bought my first of 2 IS300's in '06 and it had aftermarket rims and lugs, but the guy kept the rims, not the lugs so I rolled home on factory 5 spokes and aftermarket lugs and it was a come to jesus moment the whole way home.
