HERE is the best way for you to rationalize it:
Having CF doors is no more of a danger than driving a Motorcycle with no doors.

Anyone care to disagree? I'm sure someone will mention the helmet- well that is his choice. Just my 1 cent on this whole argument. I say go for it- but if you die, it isn't my fault.

If I would have kept my project there definitely would have been CF doors added. Taking 200+ lbs off a car w/cf hood/doors/trunk is definitely worth it if you have the cash lying around. You'll save over $2k in weight, from your wallet as well! Sounds great! I'm pretty sure you CAN order real dry carbon hood/doors/trunk through VertexUSA btw.

You forgot carbon fiber wheels from Dymag... It's only $10,000 so your wallet will be extra light weight after that mod. Two birds with one stone. Another option, go on a diet, and work out at a gym.

Oh, and remember: Rust=Lightweight.

Man, I am full of useful advice. lolol

It would be like riding a mother cycle. Just a light side swipe would probably go right though the door. A definite No.. I'm thinking about one of those fleabay ones for 500 bucks, but I'm wondering about their quality though.

You'll be better off making your own doors out of cardboard rather than buying doors from ebay ,lol

In the race to make cars lighter, faster, and more economical, Ferrari is thinking outside the box. Well, it's thinking about the box, to be more accurate, as this week it unveiled a concept car made partially from cardboard.
More like the Ferrari FXX.

Actually most body kit prototypes are initially made from cardboard, foam, resin, hot glue, plastics, bondo etc etc for the plug.
