Installing an Alpine double din and have some questions
Hey guys, just got myself an Alpine iXA-W407 and I need a few questions answered.
My plans for now, are too keep all the stock speakers, sub and amp/amps.
I found links while I was searching, but from what Ive read, Id rather not go by these because Id rather not cut my stock plugs. I would rather get aftermarket harness's if I can.
My query's
Am I still able too use both amps or atleast the sub amp with an aftermarket harness? Maybe the Crutchfield harness?
How bout the CD changer? Dont really need it, just wanna know.

b4 everyone yells at you this should be in the audio section but ill help ya out. So thers 3 possibilities depending on what year and options u have on your sc
1. the factory deck has a built in amp with a seperate amp for the subwoofer, you can use a standard toyota harness and wire it behind the deck and can also retain the factory sub, check out the audio section we have posted how to retain it in there.
2. factory amp under the changer that controls your 4 speakers with a seperate amp mounted on the underside of the rear deck, u have to run 4 sets of wire from the factory amp up to the front of the radio, u can also retain stock sub i believe and u should be able to grad power/gnd/ign/antenna/ampturn on from behind the radio
3. nakamichi(not as common) 5ch amp mounted under the changer same as 2 have to run 4sets of wire up to the front, not sure if u can retain stock sub.
hope this helps if not just ask

you will also need a installation kit
95-8157B for double din radios
99-8157B for single din
70-1761 is the harness for scenario #1 u can also use this i believe on #2and 3 but u can only use the harness to grab ur power/gnd/ign/power antenna/amp turn on no audio
