Default First car

hi im new to this community and my parents got me a 95 SC400 for christmas. i was really excited and have been looking around for advice on how to maintain it and keep it running like new. it has 88k miles on it and was kept in good condition. so far I havent found any flaws on it. any tips for a first time car owner? i also intend on keeping everything stock. customizing isnt really my style. thanks

Wow , great present. Congrats! She looks like she's in great condition. Just remember your 90k maintenance if it hasn't been done yet

Default Thanks

Thank you for the advice. I plan to upload a ton more pics in this thread to show off the condition of this car. I'm going to keep it pristine and hold onto it until it runs no more.

Beautiful car... I own a 95 sandstone beige SC4 and love it. The best advice I can give you is to do all the required maintenance and don't cut corners on repairs. Use OEM Toyota ATF and coolant. If you take care of it, it will last forever! It looks beautiful BTW, wish my driver's side seat was in that condition!

nice gift sir! very nice. and if you linger around this forum long enough..you are going to want to mod it a bit as for advice or tips...get all the maintenance done, and just a bit of tint...but thats personal preference.

wow! fabulous present man! that car looks great and i'm glad to hear you'll keep it stock instead of all these crazy schemes to make it riced out. as far as advice and what not just remember the 90k maintenance. this car will last forever if you take care of it, my 93 has 165k on it and it runs like a clock. some things to watch out for are the gauges flickering or dieing out, the climate control bleeding, and your trunk struts will be shot most likely.

welcome to the family!

That's a really nice car! I wish I could've gotten an SC for christmas. I tried to convince my parents last year and ended up with some clothes instead.
