Question Chassis harness clip removal

To those of you who have relocated your wiring harness by means of unclipping it from the drivers side panel- how did you pull the clips out? I've tried needle nosed pliars, prying off with a flat head screwdriver, and of course pulling them out by hand. Anyway, I've only been able to get like 2 off and I'm stuck with the rest.

How did you guys pull them out? I've searched, and I've tried everthing I can think of. Any other suggestions?

Then there is this one, I love the part where Brian tells them it unplugs after they cut every single wire. LOL

A screwdriver and my fingers.

I've been told I have strong hands. LOLOL

But you've already tried this. How large are the screwdrivers you are using?

There is a pic of the plug deeper in that second thread.

The clips are tight but a screwdriver typically works. You really have to push the release clip in hard then push in on the plug and pull, it should come right out.

I guess my hands aren't strong enough.
I've tried eveything from a screw driver from a eyeglasses repair kit, to a pretty beefy one.

That DIY is for a sc400, my manual sc300 has more fuses in the same space, so everything is jammed in there a lot closer together. Makes getting screwdrivers and angles a pain. I'll keep trying though.

At least I know it CAN be done, and what its done with.
Thanks guys.

Sarah

When I pulled mine, i used a very thin flat tip and inserted it deep into the connector to release. Some of the connectors latch deeper than others. Then wiggle left to right till it pulls out. I recommend taking out the driver's seat to get more leverage BTW.

I couldn't disconnect the wiper wiring harness. Since it was such a small amount of wires, I just cut it and respliced in the wheel well.
