Alarm Question...
Someone was telling me that all the sc's came with alarms from the factories? This sounded pretty stupid but hey, you never know. When I bought the car i only got one key and there was no mention of an alarm and i didn't receive a keypad...
I'm looking into installing an alarm so I need to know if i have a factory one.

They did. I'm 99% sure that they all came with alarams from factory. Though, mine was not working when I got the car.
The main key has a button on the side for the alarm. The valet key is smaller and has no such button.
I'v heard lots of stories of these alarms not working or being faulty when older. For example, my alarm didn't work but would sometimes go off randomly and it still does when I dissconnect and reconnect my battery even though I've got an aftermarket one installed.

I remember I could not get my hood to open when it was latched out and the alarm went off.
When I bought the car used I got two keys from the owner. One had a small base/handle; that one was the regular key. The other had a bigger base/handle; that one was the valet key. Non of the keys had button to open the car remotely... So what gives?
You know what they say, "Everything is always better when it's remote-controlled."

The remote for the alarm is built into the master key. Lock your doors, hood and trunck with the key and look on the dash above the ignition key. A red security light should light solid for 30 seconds and start to blink every second after the alarm is set. If it does not then you may not have an oem alarm or it is not working.
I am sure all SC's came with oem alarms

How would this be wired up? to the status output wire, or disarm wire? Relays needed?

when you put the key in the ignition, the keysense wire grounds out, which actives the "chime" and the AUTOTILT steering wheel.
it is a yellow wire with silver dots (at least in a 1998 sc300) I test this wire at the white plug along the steering colum next to the "silver metal box" that is the MIRROR CONTROL BOX.
