Engine code P0135, P0401
Hi guys,
I just got 96, SC300, 5sp. I went to local registered emission repair shop today. They said My car failed state inspection. The car failed OBD code, P0135, and P0401. Does anyone experience same issue before or any help will be very appreciated.
Thanks
Don

First one sounds like an o2 sensor, the second one is a little more tircky. It could be clogged EGR tube or valve, bad EGR valve, broken or misrouted vacuum lines.

P0135= HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR HEATER.
P0401= VSV/EGR SYSTEM
for the P0401 I've seen the vsv valve not work properly and cause that code and a lot of toyota's/ lexus's
