Default 18x9.5+22 in front without stretching tires

Hi, well with the recent california rain, today on my way to work I bent one of my front wheels. Having really bad luck lately. I'm currently rocking 18x8.5+30 in front with 245/40/18

I'm gonna order two new wheels, 18x9.5+22 for the front. I plan on rocking the same tires for now, and when it's worn down, I will upgrade to 255/40/18.

I want to know if anyone else on here has this type of fitment. Please do not direct me to another thread as I've already looked and everyone that has this fitment is "HELLAFLUSH" and stretched which I am not a big fan of.

any good information will be appreciated.

I'm almost certain you will rub with that size wheel/tire. The only way you can get past that without stretching is wider fenders.

This was my SC with 19x8.5 +22 Volk TE-37's.
I can't remember if it was 225 or 235 tires... But they weren't stretched.
It will be necissary to remove the fender lips- (Not sure how your fenders are flared)

I dont think it has to do with how wide the tire is but that its a 40 series.

if you hit a pothole its gonna do the same thing.

i have 19x9.5 22et with 275/35 in front and they only rubbed on big bumps. dropped on eibachs. also on 10mm spacers to clear the brakes. forgot about that.

im not a fan of the tire stretching either, call me old fashioned haha. I dont know about the 255s seems a little large but if gldndrgn14 was rolling with 275s Id say your probably alright.

stretched ftl! sry but if I can see the mounting space of your wheel it ain't right.

But yeah, you should be good depending on your stretched fenders.

not true, if I have a 255 width, a 40 series would be taller than a 245/40.. which will than have enough sidewall and tire overlap to protect my wheel
