Default What to put in place of the stock cd changer?

I just removed my cd changer because of a slight weight reduction and it was broken. So now I have a large hole where my changer used to be. I was wondering what have you put in place of the changer? Did you simply cover it up with matching carpet? I was thinking about possibly putting in one of those low profile boss subwoofers but im not sure yet. I wanted to start this thread to see what other people have done, so please post up!

thanks.

I say a good quality sub enclosure of some sort.. But if you took it out due to it being broking and to save weight, then leave it empty..

I took mine out in one of my old SC's im mounted my new 5 channel amp there, Im trying to figure out the benifit of the battery there, if you dont have to move it. ive seen supercharges go where the stock battery goes but that would be the only reason i would relocate it. That sub idea might work, i put my eclipse sub in the stock location with some modification, but you gotta have the stock Nak sub though

Battery in the truck for better weight distribution. One of the reasons why BMW's handle so well. Also benefits you if you have a massive audio system, shorter runs of power cable.

What about cars that handle great, have 50/50, or close, weight distribution with the battery up front?

don't forget that the location of the battery is in front of the wheel, so there's weight overhanging on the front that you don't want. Also considering that weight of the battery in the stock location is already on the driver side, with the driver weight, there's more weight on the driver side, whereas if relocated to where the cd changer was, you're moving that weight to counter some of the driver weight as well as remove the offsetted weight from the front. (the radiator at least is equal left to right in the front)

Quick Reply: What to put in place of the stock cd changer?
