New Ride Height
#31
Not everything needs to be slammed or lowered to look good...
Sorry if this seems to be aimed at you, which it's not, I am just tired of people, every two seconds complaining about ride height.. What about the people who live in the snow belt here in Ohio who don't want to plow through snow banks and rip off there front end? What about the drivers who see bad roads, or speed bumps in there everyday driving routine? How about the people who enjoy there factory Lexus comfort? There really is no need to lower every SC300/400 on the road... Everyone says they want to be different, but how can everyone be different when all they hear is "Nice 4x4, get some BBS/Volk/Work rims, a lip kit, and get the HUGE offsets".. That's very original, being every car on here consists of at least 2 of those items listed.. Biggest one of them all, what about the people who aren't super loaded and just plain can't afford these overpriced items? And don't say "Don't buy a Lexus then", because I bought mine for $700 with 120k miles on it.. Once again, sorry if this seems to be aimed at you, I assure you it is not.. Just tired of every wheel/suspension/CAR thread, something is posted to where someone says "Hey that doesn't look like every other SC on this board, CHANGE IT!!"...
To the O.P.. Wheels look great!

Don't know how many times I've thought that to myself about this board......must be a Lexus mindset thing (despite our SC's sub-used-minivan-pricetag), because any straying from CL's recipe gets beat on pretty hard. It'd be nice to see more diversity with our SC's on here.

If it doesn't look like every other SC on this board, it get's flamed on/boo'd/negatively criticized and all sorts of annoying things..
Oh and to a previous poster, I do have my car lowered, with spacers to flush it up.. i was just using it as an example...

LOL its pretty cool, more like pink accented. It's at the same shop that took care of my car.
ANYWAYS, to everyone, IMO I really like SC's that are slammed, but thats a personal choice. I just feel like the bodies of the SC only look good when it is low to the ground, and im not a fan of the stock body pre-97 or 97, i love all the kits for the sc though. I also love diversity and I have nothing against car's that aren't slammed

I think the Pink Scion adds color and character to our neighborhood... besides we're selling it and gonna pick up a van to paint it a 2 tone red / black with Elmo painted on its rear hatch.
EXCUSE me but its Fuscia.... the paint name is BASF's Fuscia Pearl from its Carrizma line..... but I guess any shade of pink is referred to as pink....

anyways back on topic. I'd like mr. Tom to bring the SC by the block so I can see the final outcome.... I must say it started from very modest beginnings... the tape look provided for some interesting water cooler talk for a few days. I was just at La Habra Collision Center and we chuckled over the tape story... lol
