Thanks
I used Metalcast. its a transparent red paint for chrome or something if you want a anodized look?? but i used it for this. i did the left and right tops first with several coats. i wanted the top darker so i went to where they were darker than the bottoms a little. the i unmasked the hole light and didnt more coats to get the same shade of red on the whole light instead of just painting the top. i wanted the tinted look so i just did more coats. the paint is a good paint and it will last but i got my car painted so i got dude to clear them.

i was just wondering. because a few people i know got pulled over for their smoked tails because the blinkers werent visible enough in the day...so i was wondering if they were the same for redded out tails.

You might want to do your tails like these. Mine look the same, but they're black instead. I haven't been pulled over yet since the visibility is the same and it looks sort of stock with the clear reverse lights. I've heard using vinyl to tint the tails is the best since you can remove the tint if you want.

Its Transparent
The paint i used is transparent like a candy paint. so the lights shine like normal. it looked like i had dyed the orange because you could see right through and see the diffusers. and you couldnt even tell that mine were done. im pretty sure vinyl would be the same also.
