Magnaflow Pics/ Video Coming
For those considering the Magnaflow 14829 here are some pics. The sound is extremely deep and bassy but not loud at all.
I highly recommend for those that don't want the lawnmower sound. These sound stock but with an added subwoofer.
One thing that I did different from others is I got some of the pipe cut to give the muffler a more recessed look. I didn't want the tips protruding beyond the rear bumper. I attached a pic of the "elbow" my man Rex installed to get the look. One other thing he did was a double weld to keep the mufflers from bouncing around like you see on some cars. Cost some extra $$$ but i'm happy.
I will be putting a short video clip w/ stereo sound together and adding to this thread shortly.

Looks sweet hoops!
I'm seriously thinking about going that route. I want more sound, but I still want it to sound like a Lex and not give me a headache.

Cool hoops, maybe we should start a Team Magnaflow! Hey, did you keep the mid mufflers in or did you cut them out too? I kind of wish I had mine tucked higher. They are pushed in enough, but hang kind of low for my taste. Oh well. Good job!

Ya like em, huh? I just found these by accident, but they're the perfect muffler for this kind of car. Completely eliminates the high pitch racket sound and leaves the car sounding great. Plus they look nice. Mine face off to the side a bit, and that inner part of the tip will get black over time but it looks just fine.

Ehh, I was gonna take some pics for you guys from the rear head on, but my friend is borrowing my digicam so hopefully I can pick it up tonight (if he's home). Mine cost $300 for the pair and $100 worth of install because the guy did spend some extra time on mine. I thought the install was well worth cause the guy does some top notch arc welding and uses a manderel bender quite skillfully.

What place is this that you know of that has a mandrel bending machine? You realize those things are the size of a server room and weigh a lot, right? If he does have one of those machines I need to talk to the guy...

I'll take a couple of added pics today and put them up.
lex400, that "hanging low" is exactly what I was referring to when I mentioned the double weld. He did some things to keep them up high which also keeps them in place. I hate seeing universal mufflers on cars and they're wagging around like a dogs tail. If you're not happy you should get it repositioned. It will probably cost you $50. Go for it.
The mid-mufflers are coming out next week. He is doing custom piping all the way through and also installing high flow cats from CATCO. I will take some underneath pics to show you how it turns out.
Total cost was $465. Would have been $400, but I had him do some things above and beyond normal. The mufflers were $150 ea.
The pictures don't do them justice. I am as picky as they come and I am extremely happy with the look and sound.
If you want any specific angle pics let me know. It takes all of 60 seconds to walk out side and get 'em.

You know, I really like that setup...Lex400SC, tell me where this Mandrel bending guy is...I want the same setup as you and Hoops and MadMaxSC400 since there isn't a whole lot in terms of JDM stuff...
Hoops, cars looking good...you just need to lower it (a lot!) and some nice JDM 19's... But BEFORE you buy, wait until I get mine...you MAY want them too...

I am pretty happy with my SC400 right now, but could use a little more power. How much of a difference will this exhaust actually make? I am really picky about how my car sounds, and I'd like to steer clear of any noise gain at all besides the intake I plan to buy. So is the exhaust noise really worth the power it gives?
