I ran the SC with the rear muffs dropped for about a week. The drone at 1800 rpm was murder. The current set up is a drastic improvement over the muff delete option.
Like this, but not as throaty

See now... the problem is that the F355 sounds like a F355 because of the low displacement per number of cylinders via shorter crank, and the subsequent RPM's it can obtain because of that. Not so much from the exhaust system.
And noting the fact that you're not posting a sound clip to back up your claim, makes me believe that your exaggerating.

In the end, my $25 X-pipe comes close to the Red Phoenix exhaust note for just $250 in labor which is a pretty good deal. For those that must have the exact 355 sound, they run for about $50K now and you will love driving it between visits to the dealer; where you will hate the bill and the ever elusive resolution to the complaint of the month. Never own a Ferrari out of warranty, and sell it before it is one year old to recoup steep depreciation.
In any case, the 2.5" in 2.25" out X maximizes engine note on the quad cam 32V Lex 4.0, imho.
I'll get a .jpeg of the underside up in a couple of days for those who want to check it out.
