not sure about the power, every mechanic working on my car has been around supras for years and worked on many 800+ HP supras and 240s, and they said around 500, if not low 5's then HIGH HIGH 4's at 20lbs, but i plan on going 25 lbs

I don't have the trans yet. I was gonna do a 1jz swap and right now I'm starting to gather parts. If I get a 1jz from a soarer would it come with a r154 or a w58?

direct qoute....
"The Toyota Soarers made from the years 1991-2000 were offered with a 4-speed automatic transmission for all models. In addition, the JZZ30 Soarer could be had with a 5-speed manual transmission which is the R154 MKIII Supra Transmission. It had a luxury feel to it, yet the 2.5GT twin turbo model in particular was truly a very powerful sports car as well. Not surprising though, given its 1JZ-GTE engine was used for the MKIII Supra as well. Both cars' suspension, brakes, drivetrain, and engine parts were interchangeable"

They did sell 2.5tt as 5 speed but only certain rare models. Every Soarer i saw in Japan was an automatic. The 5 speeds were custom built with a supra R154 MKIII transmission. Regardless they use the same engine and tranny so if it comes from a soarer or supra, its the same thing....
good luck with the build, and if you have any questions let me know..
