Check your Fuel Filter for leaks?

My line rusted out and turns out I was leaking fuel from there.
Cut it out and replace with hoses + filter , or get new hardlines to fix it.

Try and measure your mpg over the next couple tanks. If it seems low you may have a leakage problem. If it seems normal than it's just deviation in your fuel gauge. Mine sometimes randomly drops a lot. I didn't use a bunch of gas then, it's just slight lag from previous use. Also when I go on sharp curves the needle drops visibly, probably due to the sensor in the tank

i just don't worry about mine. my needle deviates from the real amount by about 5 gallons. i know this because i know the tank is 20.8 gallons, and when i refill it at "empty" it puts in like 13-14 gallons and thats it. i think there is a way you can clear off the sensor in the tank though.

Yes. at least on all the cars I've ever filled. I don't think its being released though I'm pretty sure its a slight vacuum being filled.
